Celebrity Make-up Artists Rachel and Clare Have Been at it Again!

Phew! What a crazy week we have had, we have been rubbing shoulders with the stars at London Fashion week party at the Embassy. Followed by a fashion show to close London Fashion Week at the Cabaret Club in Soho.

“ Hey Rachel I read somewhere that bull semen is great for your hair! Is that why the people at the party had luscious locks?”

“Just start the column Clare.”

Ever wondered how to apply false lashes or create a make-up for that real special occasion? Well this is what we got up to. Modern girl turns tiger as we unleashed the safari side with www.whitehorsephotography.com. We were given a brief for our amazing looks for our model Angel “Amen”

“Rachel you nutter back to the shoot”

Both themes involved intricate design applied by moi oh and of course Rachel. Unleashing the tiger was not hard as Angel got into full character.

Incorporating safari/fashion we designed a look that could be taken to the party scene, using gems and false lashes our look became avante guarde.

Top Tip:
For all you virgins out there, when applying false lashes, choose natural lashes - we recommend Eyelure. Leave the large heavy lashes to the pro’s as they can result in a lazy looking eye. We don’t want you looking half asleep when you arrive at the party. Don’t forget, using a good glue is a must and it will save the embarrassment of fishing your eyelash out of someone’s drink. Eyelure glue is strong - SO USE IT! Using the wand apply a generous amount of glue to the ridge of the lash and leave to go tacky for thirty seconds. Close your one eye but not too tight and apply the lash. Don’t worry if you see some glue, it will dry clear before you have finished your drink.

Want to try your hand at recreating this sexy safari look??? Well first of all you need a lot of creativity and patience!! Here’s a guide for you to give it a whirl!:

To create the perfect canvas for this funky safari queen look, we need to start off with a flawless base...if you have read our column before you should already know that us girlies love to use prep and prime by MAC before hand to matt the skin....great for any of you girlies who are prone to oily patches on skin! :)

OK now when choosing your foundation, it is a must to try it before it taking home...and realising it is the wrong colour...always colour match in the shop...making sure the foundation "disappears" in to the skin...we don’t want tide lines!!

Apply your foundation with either a brush or a sponge for a perfect coverage. And don't forget...powder powder powder....I keep telling Clare and she still does not listen!! heeeheee..... Anyways.. we have the perfect base now...add a little bronze to the cheeks to enhance and give a sexy glow! For the eyes, use at least 3 different shades of colour...vibrant colours look great on all you dark skinned lovelies...we love Sleek loose powders...as good as MAC, but more friendly on our bank balances!....using the lightest shade on the brow bone to highlight, medium shade across the lids and darkest shade in the socket line.

Make sure these are all perfectly blended together....harsh lines are sooo not cool! Add eyelashes on top for the added WOW factor! If your feeling daring, add gems to the forehead area as seen on Angel. You can find lots of different cool gems in craft shops! Apply these with tweezers and use the eye lash adhesive to glue them into place....voila....safari queen is born!!!! Now your ready to party girl! For a more day to day look forget the gems and the lashes!
