“The London Socialite” by Johnny Ikon 12/11/2008

I've been on a humanHi again this month, partying, dining in fine restaurants and hitting up all the hot clubs. I'm going to tell you about all my favourites again so get ready for all of Johnny Ikon's most exciting moments!

The events the London Socialite rocked this month. There's been lots of books being released lately, and I'm always sure to check out the book releases with celebrities attached to them. The sensationally sexy Founder of humanHi, Miss Sarah Burge, joined me at the party for the release of Big Brother star Gerry Stergiopolous's dating tome "Treat 'Em Mean, Keep 'Em Keen". We were joined by a whole host of Big Brother z-listers including Mikey, Seany, Mo, Narinda, Carol, Billi, Lea and Richard. We all adjourned afterwards to Embassy Club for the engagement party of Big Brother's Mario and Lisa, where we were joined by the Cheeky Girls and Katie Price, who I adore. She didn't help herself avoid those rumours about her marriage by appearing without her wedding ring, and with her sister in tow rather than Peter! A couple of weeks later, Sarah and I also checked Giles Vickers-Jones's book release party for "The Best Day of My Life", where celebrity contributors including my favourite Rebecca Loos showed face for the paps waiting outside .

All eyes turned to Sarah yet again when we held our fourth humanHi party with Alexander O'Neal performing. Sarah turned up in a Roller with Alexander in tow, dressed in a revealingly sexy number. While he belted out his hits including "Criticise", I joined celeb guests including Rick Parfitt Jr, ex-Hollyoaker Lee Otway and the impossibly thin Naomi Millbank-Smith (she'd be enough to turn me!)..

After recovering from all the paparazzi flashes of that night, I was soon off to celebrate with Grey Goose and the Elton John AIDS Foundation, having been invited personally by the charming David Furnish. That was a really fun party, as celebs including David, Theo Fennell and Patrick Cox had designed their own bespoke bars, which looked fab! Celebrities circling the room included Lily Allen, Rick Parfitt Jr (yes, again! Do I have a new stalker?!) and David Walliams, who couldn't quit walking back and forth in front of the paparazzi pen

Clubbing in a London Socialite style

Newbies on the block Jalouse and Vendome haven't really had the impact they should have in my opinion. Both are acceptable attempts at fitting into London clubland's landscape, but I'm hungry for something new again already! Roll on the next club to try and catch our attention, eh? My best clubbing night out this month was actually at Whisky Mist, where I was excited to spot all five of Girls Aloud. They'd been on the launch show of X Factor earlier in the evening, so all seemed in good spirits and were there supporting Cheryl Cole. Cheryl herself was on a bit of a humanHi after a successful evening (well, she didn't lose any of her acts anyway) though I was soon ready for somewhere else, and headed off to the Burlington Club - one of my Mayfair favourites!

Jodie and John

Heading out of W1, there's one really cool place I don't like to miss - Gilgamesh in Camden, where I partied hard with Jodie Marsh. In a night that can only be described as pure carnage on my part, we downed shots and glasses of champagne as we watched The Globe Girls, before hitting Camden hard later in the night. I don't remember everything about the evening, but I do know I didn't get home till 8 the next morning! Oo-er!

Where the London Socialite's eating

My favourite restaurant right now is actually Hakkasan. You may have to go into one of London's grottiest alleyways to reach it, but once there you'll find the real A-list at the neighbouring table (if you can see them beyond the dim light). Madonna and Gwyneth dined here before Madge fled Guy and London town, and if they had any sense they'll have chosen my favourite - the cod with champagne and honey. Wow! You can probably guess that the London Socialite likes a cocktail even more than a nice meal, so that's where Hakkasan wins big with me, as the concentration is firmly on cocktails here rather than wine, with gorgeous coconut and lychee dominating the choices. Don't miss out!! Make sure you book early though.
