Here are some of the questions I asked Jagir about the EducoGym personal training programme and his responses…

ZS: “What makes educogym® training different from other programmes?”
JS: “The aim of the educogym® is to educate clients in how they can draw out their perfect body from within. What makes our training so unique is the attention on replacing lost lean tissue. This is so important as it has long been known that an increase in the body's lean muscle tissue causes an increase in metabolism (the rate at which the body burns food and fat for energy). In fact 1lb of muscle burns up to 100 calories per day… even if you are relaxing in front of your TV! This scientific key factor unlocks the mystery of body-fat loss. Equally a key factor in drawing out the perfect figure/ physique, has been found in helping stabilise hormonal levels in the body, achieved through the unique educogym® natural nutritional programmes.”

ZS: “What role does the power of the mind play in educogym® training?”
JS: “Another factor that makes us unique is that we incorporate attention on a largely ignored area – the role of psychology, i.e. what part the mind plays in changes in body composition and fat loss. Surprisingly, to date, this whole area of mind over matter has largely been ignored. We believe, the more a person has a clear mental blueprint in their mind of themselves in their best shape ever, the more they can sculpt their body to that image.”
“They become like sculptors using weight training as their chisel. In particular, their level of attention to what they are doing seems to increase. Consequently, greater mind power is applied to the exercises resulting in a greater output of physical power. Whether male or female, they appear then to lift heavier weights, which in turn causes an increase in lean muscle tissue, a subsequent increase in their metabolic rate and a decrease in body fat.”

ZS: “What are the advantages of using the educogym® system?”
JS: “The advantages range from dramatic transformations in shape as you can see from the pictures, to the new lease of life experienced as clients begin feeling the anti-aging effect of replacing the lost firm tissue and rebalancing hormonal levels through the recommended nutrition plans.”
“The real advantage of course is that it’s easy to incorporate the educogym® exercise program into your lifestyle. It only takes 20 minutes a few times a week, so it is much easier to stay focused and avoid boredom! Also, armed with the training in focus and concentration, you can experience a mental workout that keeps your mind clear throughout. Finally, the intense nature of the exercise produces endorphins in the brain giving you that feel-good factor.”
“This all leads to a workout that really is both enjoyable and which leaves you feeling invigorated, ready to take on the world!”

ZS: “Why only 20 minute sessions?”
JS: “The positive effects of exercise are the stimulation of the muscle fibres and activating the fat burning/ muscle gaining hormone called 'Human Growth Hormone' (HGH). The level of intensity of the exercise has been found to have a direct impact on both of these. This intensity comprises of both the load (weight) and speed of the programme, hence a workout of no more than 20 minutes.”

ZS: “Is there any aerobics involved?”
JS: “The old school of thought is that the only reason you exercise is to burn calories. This has spawned the whole movement of aerobics and cardio-equipment, ranging from treadmills, bikes and cross-trainers. If you visit most gyms, you will see rows and rows of these machines in a warehouse like enclosing. It would seem that everyone is training to be a marathon runner (based on Phidippides's run to Athens who subsequently died from exhaustion!).”

“Unfortunately, although you burn calories during conventional aerobic exercise, and as a result can indeed lose weight, it is not widely known that much of the weight loss is muscle, as the longer you exercise, the more catabolic (=muscle breakdown) it becomes. This in turn causes a decrease in the overall rate of which you burn calories.”
“Body fat is burned almost exclusively by your muscle tissue, so this is the one thing you cannot afford to lose (4). Think of muscle as a furnace in which you burn calories… out of the total amount of calories that your body burns, 90% are burned by muscle. Such forms of exercise may be causing you to have to exercise more and more all the time in order to just maintain your shape!”
ZS: “Are there any drawbacks to the educogym system?”
JS: “Shorter training sessions… some people like long ones!”

ZS: “What kind of results can people expect?”
JS: “As you can see from the photos, people can seriously transform their shape. According to a research study, the average fat loss can be as much as 7.5lbs, with a muscle gain of 3lbs in as little as 12 days. This equates to approximately 2 inches off the waist.”
