Reallife Barbie living the humanHi life in Marbella: humanHi travel
Marbella is a place I visit regularly throughout the year however July and August are the best months for making a Marbella visit as the weather is sky high, well in the 90s with pure sunshine throughout so it is the perfect time to getaway. My late brother, Trevor Goddard, who stared in Pirates of the Caribbean and CBS series Jag, called Marbella “a place to truly escape to” and I can totally identify with that!
Beautiful Marbella is gaining notoriety as one of the most luxurious resort towns in the world. Often referred to as Spain’s answer to Saint-Tropez, the city and beaches of Marbella have become renowned jet set destination points for some of the worlds most celebrated clientele. Famed for world-class sailing, golf and tennis, the city is a mecca of prestigious charm and upscale living. With dazzling white buildings set against the deep, azure Mediterranean sky, the splendour of Marbella is undeniably pleasing to every eye.
Combining the exotic backdrop of the Costa del Sol with chic city elegance, the luxurious resort town of Marbella is located in Andalusia, Spain, and is truly a gem of the Mediterranean region. Whether seeking a low key, relaxing retreat or an upbeat getaway for parties and entertainment, Marbella can meet any request with ease.
I was staying at the 6 star Las Dunas Hotel in Marbella, www.las-dunas.com, last summer and during dinner in the courtyard restaurant “The Phoenix”, where the we enjoyed our evening meal on the table directly next to Matt Damon’s. Our daughter, Penelope who was 3 years old, was playing with his daughter, Isabella who was around 15 months old. We had momentary chats with Matt when he leaned over saying how lovely it was for the children to be playing together around the fountain. Soon enough were sipping champagne into the early hours of the morning with Matt and his family and I have to say he was a really nice “human” and was on a humanHi because he was due to fly to the UK to attend the London Premiere of his latest movie Bourne Ultimatum. Matt left Marbella before we did, so said our goodbyes and I had to work on a TV show.
Nikki Beach Club Marbella
Nikki Beach is a place I would highly recommend anyone to visit as it was created especially for the lovers of the Hi Life.

When I was there with my husband we moved and shaked with international superstars including pals Sean Connery, Tom Cruise and Microsoft’s Bill Gates. It was fabulous because we all let our hair down, the hi profile people of the world can feel relaxed and comfortable here without the prying eyes of the paparazzi.

Bill Gates lent me his credit card, I wish, but I do love to go shopping at exclusive boutiques where the quality of merchandise suits the glamour of the place. Marbella has a shopping district in Puerto Banus where I will go to buy designer clothes, art and even cars particularly Ferrari and Bentley.
Puerto Manus is the port for Marbella and this area is known as the playground for the rich and famous. We have a yacht moored there and often have fabulous parties where we invite our yachting neighbours on board for Crystal Champagne and good caviar bilinis.
